Work Trail Visa

Visit-visa for foreigners coming to Indonesia to undertake a work trial/skills assessment period with a sponsoring company. 

 

It is single-entry and is issued under the “work trial” category (index C18) rather than a full work permit.

Key Features & Conditions

• Valid for up to 90 days and cannot be extended.

• A foreign national cannot use the same company as sponsor for more than one C18 visa. 

• The visa does not allow wage-earning or employment in Indonesia under a normal employment contract. It is for trial only. 

• Leaving Indonesia while the visa is valid will trigger cancellation of the visa.

Typical Requirements

• The sponsoring company must be registered via the official portal Visa Imigrasi. 

• Invitation letter from a government agency or private institution for the trial period.

• Passport with at least 6 months validity. 

• Bank statement covering last 3 months showing sufficient living funds.
