Family Dependent Visa
For spouses and children of residents. Ensures family unity with full residency rights.
About the visa
Short Info
The Family Dependent KITAS (Index E31) is the essential permit for the spouses and children of primary KITAS holders (such as Workers or Investors) and those married to
Indonesian citizens. This visa recognizes the importance of family unity, allowing loved ones to live together in Indonesia legally and comfortably.
For the dependents of foreign workers, this visa is tied to the primary holder’s permit; as long as the worker’s KITAS is valid, the family can remain in the country. For those married to Indonesians, this visa is the first step toward permanent residency (KITAP) and eventual citizenship if desired.
While a Dependent KITAS generally does not allow the holder to work or earn a salary in Indonesia, it provides all other benefits of residency, including the ability to open bank accounts and obtain a local driver's license. It is a vital document that ensures families can build a stable and happy life together while exploring the wonders of Indonesia, from the beaches of Bali to the mountains of Sumatra, safely and with full residency rights.
